MICRO-LENDING TO IMPROVE LIVES
On Wednesday, February 17, Anne Guerrant will discuss how the Guerrant Foundation has already helped over 10,000 poorest of the world's poor start businesses through micro-loans.
Ms. Guerrant played tennis on the pro tour for nine years, ranking as high as #11 in the world. She played in all major tournaments, and her record includes wins over Martina Navrailova and Billie Jean King. Anne started the foundation to help poor women and families improve their lives through loans to start businesses.
This presentation will be at the weekly meeting of Soroptimist International of Apache Junction (SIAJ)at the AJ Multi-Generational Center, beginning 7:15 am Everyone is welcome. AREA ARTS OLYMPICS FOR CHILDREN
On Wednesday, February 3rd, Scott Taylor (President of the Superstition Area Cultural Alliance) will discuss the Arts Olympics for Children aged 8-18 at Central Arizona College on June 5th where children will receive hands-on instruction with Arts professionals. Special needs children are also included in this program.
