The Legacy Quartet Sings in Gold Canyon
The Performing Arts Series of the Gold Canyon United Methodist Church once again will present the internationally renowned Legacy Quartet in concert on Sunday, January 31 at 3:00 PM. They are one of the finest southern gospel men’s quartets in existence, and every year they fill the church's Sanctuary with glorious sound and with people from throughout the state to hear them!
From its inception in 1981, the Legacy Quartet has maintained its style in the Southern Gospel tradition. Their unique harmony, the joy and spirit with which they sing, and the variety, depth and meaning of their songs have created loyal audiences wherever they perform. The Legacy Quartet has performed throughout the United States, South Korea (including the world's largest church with a weekly attendance of 200,000 people), Australia, Canada and even Cuba, as part of a Mission Team led by Dr. Jim Groen of Global Connections International. The concert will be held in the fabulous acoustics of the church's 1200-seat Sanctuary.
Open to the public, there is no charge for this concert as a free will offering will be received. Everyone is requested to please bring at least one non-perishable food item for the Gold Canyon United Methodist Church Food Bank. The church is located two blocks north of Hwy 60 on Kings Ranch Road (Walgreens on the corner) in Gold Canyon, three miles east of Apache Junction. Doug Benton, the church's Director of Music Ministries says, "This is one of the most popular concerts we present all year. Bring your family, friends and neighbors to this one - you will only be sorry if you don't come!" The church will open at 2:15 and it is suggested that you come early.
