The Forum at Desert Harbor, a Five Star Senior Living community, invites seniors to attend The Friends of Fall Prevention’s “Better Balance Workshop” on Tues., Jan. 12 from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Take a stance on fall prevention by attending the “Better Balance Workshop” at The Forum at Desert Harbor located at 13840 N. Desert Harbor Dr., north of Thunderbird Road at 91st Avenue in Peoria. Seating is limited. Call The Forum at Desert Harbor at 623-972-0995 for reservations.
The informative, free workshop is sponsored by The Friends of Fall Prevention, which is a collaborative effort between the Brain Injury Association of Arizona, ResCare HomeCare, Banner Good Samaritan, and the Phoenix Fire Department.
The Friends of Fall Prevention encourage seniors to take a proactive approach to preventing injuries by devising a well balanced, fall-prevention plan that includes: proper dosages of medications, healthful meals, regular exercise, in-home safety checks, and a supportive fall-prevention buddy.
The Forum at Desert Harbor is owned and operated by Five Star Senior Living, a division of Five Star Quality Care, Inc. The independent private residences, assisted living apartments, and on-site healthcare center make life easier for residents year-round.
