So I went to the march yesterday....it was a little warm, but it was well run and well done. The people in the march were WONDERFUL and so kind and fun with the music and dancing as we walked. As I went down there by myself and  being one of the few white people there, I was sitting at the capitol all by myself watching the speeches after the walk. A beautiful Hispanic family came up me, gave me two burritos, a Gatorade, thanked me for coming...and walked away...

One poster in the crowd really struck me:

IN A GENERATION, WE COULD BE ASKING YOU FOR YOUR PAPERS, BUT WE WON'T BECAUSE THAT'S WHAT RACISTS DO....

How shortsighted are these tea partiers/Republicans being through this whole silly law? They have proceeded to alienate a whole race of people whether they are illegal, legal, fourth-generation Americans, war heros, etc....The Hispanics are the fastest growing segment in America and will be a formidable force in the  upcoming elections. I saw a lot of people registering to vote yesterday....

Stupid in the short-run and the long-run....

People from ALL OVER showed up for the downtown protest against us.  There were only about 10,000 rather than what the media was first projecting.
