Trouble is the opposition isn't all that much better, if at all, even within the party you support. For example, who even got close to McCain for the GOP nod? No one.
And then there is the question of money, how much it takes to even compete, much less win, and the advantage always gotes to the incumbent. What I think we need is term limits. I even think run-offs might be a good idea in Primaries where no single candidate gets over 50% of the vote.

I am sorry to have to say this, but really, how can one person be such an idiot? I mean, how do you get up in the morning?

Would it be fair to say your uncle isn't the sharpest tool in the shed if he, one has to ask the question at all and two, he asks you?

Thanks, Burp. I told my uncle he should fire the guy. He said that the next time he gets bids on a job, he will screen the applicants a little better....

You better believe I would fire the guy.
If you are talking about Obama though, I don't think there is anything we can do about it yet. Just don't vote him in for another term. Sometimes, we're just stuck paying for our mistakes.

AP: WASHINGTON – The White House and its Senate allies defended a final push for historic health care legislation Sunday as outflanked Republicans pledged a fight to the end. A dead-of-night vote neared in a frenzy one GOP lawmaker said lacked "legislative sanity."
Republican Sen. John McCain, President Barack Obama's opponent in last year's election, said there was probably nothing to keep Democrats from passing the bill by Christmas Eve.
Still, he said, the GOP would not relent in the battle for public opinion.
"We'll fight the good fight. We will fight until the last vote," said McCain, R-Ariz. He said the political climate under Obama has become more partisan than ever.
So I ask, what has Obama accomplished in a year? Answer: He has managed to create a huge divide among us.

VERY interesting poll on Fox regarding Obama.

President Obama: The 1-Year Report Card
FOXNews.com
President Obama told Oprah Winfrey that he deserves "a good, solid B-plus" for his work as the nation's chief executive during his first year in office. How would you grade his performance?

If you hire a guy to fix something and A YEAR later he's still whining about how bad the problem was to begin with. And he can't really point to anything that he has done worthwhile to improve the situation, would you fire him? Give him another year or two? Or, just ignore the problem and hope it ends eventually? I'm just asking, because my uncle hired a guy to fix the cracks in his pool. He's been asking for more and more money, but we're really not seeing any improvements.
