This website is of no use anymore as it pertains to concerns and views of our community.

RDG, I agree. Stalker person and all your stupid personalities, you win. I'm done...all I do on here anymore is respond to his juvenile posts. If you want this name like you've taken AYNKM in the past, have fun with it. Find someone else to stalk....

This is the reason I don't come on here much anymore.  In this thread alone gadfly has almost half of all the posts and all are arguments with other people.  How many have to do with the topic?  Nada.  He should give up his membership ID so someone else can use it.  I know for a fact though that he has a multitude of other names.  I won't mention them all because that seems kind of rude if I mistakenly name someone as being him.

Well, I was by the Safeway (83rd ave/lake Pleasant pkw) and yes it has indeed closed.

Albertson's is still open -- as of today.

My assumption is that the moderators employed some of the new features because of people like gad fly.  They probably had a hard time keeping up with all the complaints against him.  They should have removed him a long time ago.  I've tangled with him more than once on this forum.  Ultimately, I decided not to be drawn into his little games.  I love the ignore feature and so far, gad fly is the only one I have used it on.

They did remove him because he consistently ignored the rules.  And on more than one occasion.  It's a waste of time though because he just creates more and more accounts.   You're right, the "ignore" button is probably the best option.  He said he was going to ignore me, but he hasn't been able to--he loves the arguments.  So, I throw him an insult ever now and then just to give him something to do.  He doesn't really have anything useful to say.  Even Joe McCord had to give him a spanking the other day.  LOL LOL LOL

Oh, yeah, I forgot about the helpless victim in your closet of characters.....if you only had something productive to say every once in a while about the issues of this world, you wouldn't be such a worthless member(s) of these forums....

I got it!  "It's comments...."  Capt. got the "under-mind."  Yeah!  And, then it should read, "Albertson's has over 90 associates that depend on [their] jobs..."

I feel so much better.

Hmmm, my "shill-o-meter" is pegged at max right about now.

You're kidding right?  Undermine (note spelling) consumer confidence?  Its a supermarket for cryin' out loud.  If its open, people will go there unless they really suck.

Alberton's is fine and I always shop there but geez.

I got this one for ya, Gad Fly!

I think you meant, "It's a supermarket for cryin' out loud.  If it's open...."

It's the little things that count.  Like me and Gad FLY.

Yeah, I thought the same thing as I read that. "I travel for miles to get my groceries at this particular store because I love the way the sackers sack".

Give me a break......Obvious is right, this is a supermarket, if your prices are competitive, people are going to come and if you close your doors, they won't anymore......and with this economy, everyone is in danger of closing their doors...

Shill Out!!!!

If you happen to follow the city council and the planning and zoning committee, you will remember a few months ago when an applicant wanted to open a bar in the old Hi-Health location at 83rd and Deer Valley. During that meeting, there was several references made of the possibilities that Albertson's could close it's doors and go dark.

I do not want to see Albertson's closed, as a matter of fact, I hate to see all the empty store fronts that are popping up all over our city. As these big box stores close, it makes it very difficult to find someone to occupy such a large facility. Take a look at the old Costco at 58th Ave and Bell, that store has been sitting empty for over 10 years.

Really?  That stinks.   That means Fry's will be the only supermarket in the neighborhood.
