Christa, do you think most people or even many people in Apache Junction or the greater Pinal County do read Russian? James is obviously bilingual. Good for him!
Look at what you have written, please. Are you saying that most people can read in Russian and/or understand that phonetic language?
Were it Spanish, you might have a point here. Although, after the recent crack-down on illegals by a certain Sheriff, many Spanish-speakers seem to have left Apache Junction.

First, I agree with Elliott in principle, but not in tactic.
Second, you are correct, his implication was that they are acting Nazi-esque. Which is a distinction without a difference, but I'll give you the win there.
Did you READ my post? I am AGAINST neighbors spying on other neighbors.
There is a pretty big difference between AJ and the Soviet Bloc.
Remember, and I have had said this before, Elliott's success would be much better if he were more couth in his interactions with the City Council and his political adversaries.

Elliott didn't say that, James. You've misquoted.
He said that about the behavior not about say, Robin Barker (a Council member) personally.
Firstly, he got the attention. Importantly, Elliott had other people agreeing with him outside in the car park. Lots came up to him to agree with him! So many don't usually make a point of going out of their ways and agreeing with him. Clearly, people's Rights is a concern to many in Apache Junction. Often, people are just tired at night and want to go home. That's understandable. This time on this issue they came over to him to concur.
Fear what you have at hand, James. Reds under the beds is circa 1950s, Cuban missiles, etc. Get with reality. Douglas Coleman is more of a rabid fascist then any imaginary Russian or German.
Neighbors spying on other neighbors to help the community? Think about life in East Germany under Communist rule. That kind of behavior went on. Children had to report to their teachers and classmates at school about how Communist their parents were. Families were being split over ideology and brainwashing of children was rampant. The State was more important than the family unit.
Disagreement with The State in Communist countries by a citizen meant one was perceived "crazy" for how could anyone disagree? Kind of similar to Apache Junction. Elliott or anyone else who disagrees must be a...Village Idiot. Same style of mind control by the ruler.
Should Doug be telling us how to bring up children? I say neighbor intrusively spying on neighbor to help Douglas Coleman's control plans is another attack on the City of Apache Junction's citizens rights. First a can of Bud left out...
Then what, dancing and singing? Heaven forbid!!

The quote is there as a harbinger of things to come if we don't wake up. You may not fear the Reds, but I do. Once we get into a fundamental operational paradigm where all things must originate from the Government it is only a matter of time until we are like Norway, or worse.
Elliott, the problem with speaking up at meetings is when you get up there and get your emotions all riled up, specifically when you called the Council Nazi's, you set the tone and they stop listening. Speaking after you've gone off on a tirade is non-productive. You'd be better off to get someone else to give your speeches and not insult the Council. I have posted my opposition to the proposed ordinances in the AJ blog and voiced them to some on the Council.
I have stated several times that the orange/red sticker brigade can pass me by because posting a sticker on my house will bring a legal storm that will make your lawsuits look like an allowance dispute between siblings.
I think the alcohol part is a joke. They must have probable cause which the ordinance seems to be thin, at best, in requirement. Talk about minors and alcohol, I'd love to see someone get a sticker on their door for a religious ceremony.
We are on the same side of this issue. I won't call the Council Nazis, but I will say that the Constitutional Legality of the ordinance is questionable, at best. I've looked through the ordinances and there are plenty that could be used to curtail these activities.

They are going to lose just like King and Parliament. I just hope that they
don't initiate any violence when even more of their lies are exposed as that is their
modus operandi. They violate our rights, call the patriots the terrorists,
want to take nudes of the kiddos at the airport, and ban our free speech. Yet more
lies are being exposed. Notice how they couldn't convince much of the country
to take the small pox vaccine back in 2002? That was a conspiracy and they lost.
The same will happen with this censor that Nobama wants to hire. State sovereignty is coming and the feds will look bad if they try to
coerce us away from it.
