Why Obama Can't Move the Health-Care Numbers
For every voter who strongly favors the plan, two are strongly opposed.

LOL, maybe you should go back and reread my post and look for what I said.  This is where your credibility suffers and your hatred is clear.

Ok, I just re-read your post and it says GOP three times and you attack with three nasty shots that were completely untrue.  I posted this article because it's quite obvious you are wrong, it's not the GOP's plan that is on the chopping block, it's the Majority Party's ....radical liberal take-over plan and American's hate it.  The GOP could have cocaine for Monkey's in their plan (oop's, no wait, that is what liberals do with our tax money) but it makes no difference because the DEMS aren't interested in what they have to say.  A six hour "summit" with the Republicans in one year does not make this Prez bipartisan in any way, shape or form.  So I was merely pointing out YOUR hatred for anything GOP which was quite clear and I agree, it makes your credibility weak.;)

So you point is you have no point and no plan and support having no point and no plan and love being wrong.  I guess you telling everyone else they are wrong enough you will and probably do believe you are right???  Present proof as you always say.  The reason you dont is cause you have no proof and what you do provide is chocked full of lies and rehtoric.  How long do you wish to keep responding with your tit for tat stuff Raz we have been here before and you have be shot down over and over...  When you can actually prove your point maybe you will get some credibilty back.  GoodLuck I use to enjoy your posts... :?

I just proved my point.  Very clearly proved my point. What part didn't you get? I know, it's tough being proved to be a hate monger but when you post inaccurate information, I feel compelled to correct you and correct the record when I see it no matter where it might be. But I understand.  Really.

Look luci, let me be clear.  I have all the credibility I need, what else do I need to say?  I think it's you that seems to have a hard time making a point and backing it up.  You are no better than any of the other BDS/PDS/GOP bomb throwers, a dime a dozen on here.  People get sick of hearing what took place ten years ago, we need to talk about what is happening to us today and that isn't good, we are in a world of hurt right now.  But when you don't have answers you always go right back to BLAME BUSH, geez luci, enough with it.

President Bush is only one man.  The liberal Congress was in charge the last two years of his term, up until then, life was pretty good in America.  They spent the money and he didn't use his veto pen because he wanted to be "bipartisan".... huge mistake.  But that doesn't make him a mass murderer that you try to make him about to be.  Remember, this Prez isn't for the Gay marriage initiative either. He also sends troops into harms way, is that an issue for you??  You need to stay on the same track, there are many things that Obama is doing that Bush did.  I don't see you pummeling him, why not? That is what makes your credibility noncredible.  If you scream at one you must scream at the other for doing the same thing.;)

Wow step back and catch your breath.  I know being a hater is tough.  I was surprised to see you shoot yourself in the foot on this one.  I didnt make a comment about GWB on this thread during your attempt at a ummm debate or ummm attempt at proving me wrong..  So I am not sure where you are at but apparently its not here.  Now I dont have to explain myself on anything to you because there has never been a point.  You will just call it a lie or not true cause its not the answer you already have preset for your questions.  If you feel more manly sitting here calling me a liar and you are correcting (hahahahaha) my posts than go ahead and feel like you are relavant.  I am so sorry your bashing had bored the others and you have decided to annoy me again.  When you actually have a fact or point and maybe become a credible sorce of information I will pay attention.  Take care:?

Aww, come on luci, let's show some honesty here.  It doesn't have to be on this thread.  Go over to one of the others where you and the rest of your loon goons are talking about taking President Bush out, it is putrid and disgusting. So give me a break, you do it all the time.  I didn't call you a liar, but I can if you want.  You consistently post inaccurate and I might add in most cases ridiculous statements with nothing to back them up and then go into a hissy fit when someone points it out.  But here's a newsflash for you luci, I will continue to do so, not just on yours but for anyone else.

Here's an FYI.  Just because you get your misguided information from looney tune blogsites doesn't make it so.  You really do need to get out more.  I can back up anything with facts that I post, and that is why I am credible and everyone on here knows it.  That is also why you and yours never come on and dispute anything.  You just sit back and post inane and irrelevant cheap shots. That's fine, your choice, but that doesn't mean I have to go along with it when it just ain't true.:cool:

Why Obama Can't Move the Health-Care Numbers
For every voter who strongly favors the plan, two are strongly opposed.

By SCOTT RASMUSSEN AND DOUG SCHOEN

One of the more amazing aspects of the health-care debate is how steady public opinion has remained. Despite repeated and intense sales efforts by the president and his allies in Congress, most Americans consistently oppose the plan that has become the centerpiece of this legislative season.

In 15 consecutive Rasmussen Reports polls conducted over the past four months, the percentage of Americans that oppose the plan has stayed between 52% and 58%. The number in favor has held steady between 38% and 44%.

The dynamics of the numbers have remained constant as well. Democratic voters strongly support the plan while Republicans and unaffiliated voters oppose it. Senior citizens—the people who use the health-care system more than anybody else and who vote more than anybody else in midterm elections—are more opposed to the plan than younger voters. For every person who strongly favors it, two are strongly opposed.

Why can't the president move the numbers? One reason may be that he keeps talking about details of the proposal while voters are looking at the issue in a broader context. Polling conducted earlier this week shows that 57% of voters believe that passage of the legislation would hurt the economy, while only 25% believe it would help. That makes sense in a nation where most voters believe that increases in government spending are bad for the economy.
When the president responds that the plan is deficit neutral, he runs into a pair of basic problems. The first is that voters think reducing spending is more important than reducing the deficit. So a plan that is deficit neutral with a big spending hike is not going to be well received.

But the bigger problem is that people simply don't trust the official projections. People in Washington may live and die by the pronouncements of the Congressional Budget Office, but 81% of voters say it's likely the plan will end up costing more than projected. Only 10% say the official numbers are likely to be on target.

As a result, 66% of voters believe passage of the president's plan will lead to higher deficits and 78% say it's at least somewhat likely to mean higher middle-class taxes. Even within the president's own political party there are concerns on these fronts.

A plurality of Democrats believe the health-care plan will increase the deficit and a majority say it will likely mean higher middle-class taxes. At a time when voters say that reducing the deficit is a higher priority than health-care reform, these numbers are hard to ignore.

The proposed increase in government spending creates problems for advocates of reform beyond the perceived impact on deficits and the economy. Fifty-nine percent of voters say that the biggest problem with the health-care system is the cost: They want reform that will bring down the cost of care. For these voters, the notion that you need to spend an additional trillion dollars doesn't make sense. If the program is supposed to save money, why does it cost anything at all?

On top of that, most voters expect that passage of the congressional plan will increase the cost of care at the same time it drives up government spending. Only 17% now believe it will reduce the cost of care.

The final piece of the puzzle is that the overwhelming majority of voters have insurance coverage, and 76% rate their own coverage as good or excellent. Half of these voters say it's likely that if the congressional health bill becomes law, they would be forced to switch insurance coverage—a prospect hardly anyone ever relishes. These numbers have barely moved for months: Nothing the president has said has reassured people on this point.

The reason President Obama can't move the numbers and build public support is because the fundamentals are stacked against him. Most voters believe the current plan will harm the economy, cost more than projected, raise the cost of care, and lead to higher middle-class taxes.

That's a tough sell when the economy is hurting and people want reform to lower the cost of care. It's also a tough sell for a president who won an election by promising tax cuts for 95% of all Americans.

LOL, maybe you should go back and reread my post and look for what I said.  This is where your credibility suffers and your hatred is clear.

Why do you only post on your own topics?? :cool:

Why does it bother you?

Nope, just curious.  Why are you afraid to venture out to other topics, just find it odd.  You post the same "I hate GOP" stuff on three of your topics but rarely come out to play in the school yard.  It is just an observation, take it how you want.  BTW, you are way off on your analysis above.  None of that is true, maybe you should get out more.  ;)

CNN Fact Check: GOP Health Care Ideas
Posted: March 4th, 2010 12:20 PM ET
From CNN's Allison Archer

Is the White House's list of Republican ideas in the legislation passed by Congress correct?

(CNN) - President Obama outlined four GOP ideas that he is willing to incorporate into his final version of a health care bill. In addition to those four proposals, which were brought up by Republicans during last week's health care summit, the White House touted the eight Republican ideas already incorporated in health care legislation passed by Congress as a way to show that the bill contains ideas from both sides. White House communications director Dan Pfeiffer posted GOP-backed proposals on the White House blog. The Fact Check Desk decided to check it out.

Fact Check: Is the White House's list of Republican ideas in the legislation passed by Congress correct? Have they truly been supported by Republicans?

– "Advancing medical liability reform through grants to states." Republican Sen. Mike Enzi of Wyoming introduced a bill in 2005 that included measures to do this. This bill, the Fair and Reliable Medical Justice Act, was also co-sponsored by Democratic Sen. Max Baucus of Montana.

– "Extending dependent coverage to age 26." In the House GOP Health Care Reform Bill, which is posted on GOP.gov, Republicans support allowing dependents to remain on their parents' insurance through the age of 25.

– "Allowing automatic enrollment in health insurance." The House GOP Health Care Reform Bill says "no state shall establish a law that prevents an employer from instituting auto-enrollment for coverage of a participant or beneficiary."

– "Including mechanisms to improve quality." Erin Shields, the press secretary for the Senate Finance Committee, told CNN that during the markup process of the Senate Finance bill, this issue was thoroughly discussed, and Republicans were among those in support of these mechanisms. The Patients' Choice Act, which was sponsored by GOP Rep. Paul Ryan of Wisconsin, "realigns incentives to encourage health care providers to provide better value at a lower cost," according to a statement on Ryan's Web site. The Patients' Choice Act had 12 co-sponsors, all Republicans.

– "SHOP exchange for small businesses to pool and purchase affordable insurance." Sen. Olympia Snowe, R-Maine, reintroduced the Small Business Health Options Program Act (also known as the "SHOP Act") last year with Sens. Dick Durbin, D-Illinois, and Blanche Lincoln, D-Arkansas. The bill was originally proposed by Durbin and was co-sponsored by 12 senators - eight Democrats, three Republicans and an independent.

– "Allowing the purchase of health coverage across state lines." In Sen. Enzi's "Ten Steps to Transform Health Care in America Act," the senator provides for "cross-state pooling." The House GOP Health Care Reform Bill also supports this proposal.

– "Offering a high-risk pool." During last Thursday's health care summit, GOP Rep. Dave Camp of Michigan stated that Republicans "support high-risk pools and reinsurance with $25 billion in funding." Obama said that "it's not that I think that the high-risk pool idea is a bad one." However, Obama cited his concern with the GOP bill, primarily that "there's not enough money that you guys put into it to be able to cover all the people with pre-existing conditions."

– "Supporting proven employer wellness programs." According to Shields, this is an issue strongly advocated by Sen. Ensign. It is also included in the House GOP Health Care Reform Bill.

Bottom Line:

The White House was correct in saying that all of these ideas have been supported by Republicans. However, they were not all solely Republican ideas, as some of the proposals have garnered bipartisan support.

RNC defends spending habits under Steele
Posted: February 23rd, 2010 06:01 PM ET
From CNN Political Producer Peter Hamby

GOP donors have been privately critical of RNC chairman Michael Steele.

Washington (CNN) – Michael Steele's handling of Republican National Committee's bank account is under fire once again, thanks to a Politico story out Tuesday detailing some of the committee's expensive habits during Steele's tenure.

The story compared last year's RNC's financial disclosures with committee paperwork from 2005, the last comparable year before a midterm election, and concluded that Steele not only took in less money than his predecessors, but also spent nearly twice as much on items like car services, charter flights and fancy meals.

"Michael Steele is an imperial chairman," grumbled one GOP fundraiser to Politico.

But Steele adviser Doug Heye is defending the party's money management under Steele, a record that has irked a number of top Republican donors who have sought out other party committees when cutting checks ahead of the midterms.

"We are focused on two things, raising money and winning elections," Heye, the RNC's communications director, told CNN. "In the past year we have raised over $90 million, we have sent money directly to state parties and have won three statewide elections," he said, referencing gubernatorial wins in Virginia and New Jersey along with Scott Brown's victory in the Massachusetts Senate special election.

Heye also e-mailed reporters Tuesday attacking the "anonymously sourced" Politico article and offering "some context and a fuller picture" than what he said was reported.

He pointed out that the Democratic National Committee had only slightly more cash on hand at the end of January ($10.2 million) as the RNC ($9.5 million) – and said that unlike their Democratic counterpart, the RNC has no debt. As for the spending, Heye wrote: "It costs money to make money."

The RNC, for instance, spent $10,000 on one fundraiser with former House Speaker Newt Gingrich last year at Spago, the upscale Wolfgang Puck restaurant in Beverly Hills.

But Heye argued that the RNC must be "more aggressive than the DNC in its fundraising efforts" because Democrats control the White House and both chambers of Congress.

"Therefore, a fundraiser with Newt Gingrich at Spago (an event that cost $10,000, but raised $53,000) or events such as inviting donors to a Redskins game become necessary," Heye said in the e-mail, noting that Democrats have also doled out large sums to hold fundraisers at fancy venues.

Ultimately, he said, Steele will be judged on wins and losses. He is up for re-election as chairman next January.

No, I think she said Corpseman.  Not once but three times.  Actually one other time prior to that.  But she's educated and really smart and she was reading it straight from the teleprompter....when she said there were 57 States...uhhh, ohhhh, ohhhh, I think I might be confusing the speakers.  Well, wasn't she the one who said "Inhalater" instead of "inhaler" but that was after mispronouncing it 20 times???  No??? Ohhh, that's right, it was your luvbug.  How many uuuhhhhh's did he include in that statement, 95??

She can give a speech off the cuff, so she wrote a couple of reminders down....do you see how incredibly petty and small you have become??  She's a nice lady.  She's smart, she's funny, she's energetic, she loves her Country, her family and she knows who she is. But the deal breaker here is she doesn't make any decisions for us.  Now if you want to criticize her policies, her ideas and her vision for this great country of ours, I say knock yourself out.  But you NEVER do that.  You don't even mention anything she stands for and why she believes so strongly in her policies.  You just continue to take cheap potshots because why, she's an attractive woman who holds strong beliefs in pro-life and marriage between a man and woman??  So does your luvbug and I don't see you taking cheap shots at him and seriously, w/o TOTUS in tow, he's not all that great of a speaker.  Maybe he should try writing on his palm, he might sound smarter. LOL;)

'I'm tiring of politicians using national security issues … as a political football,' Obama aide John Brennan said Sunday.

Washington (CNN) - Top Republicans in Congress were told the suspect in the failed Christmas airline bombing was in FBI custody hours after his arrest, and none asked if he would be transferred to military custody, President Barack Obama's assistant on homeland security and counter-terrorism said Sunday.

Republican leaders have criticized the Obama administration for charging terrorism suspect Omar Farouk AbdulMutallab in a criminal court and reading him his Miranda rights instead of turning him over to military custody as an enemy combatant.

In a speech last week, Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell said: "Many Americans were troubled by the administration's response to the Christmas Day attack. And they're equally outraged by its decision to treat the Christmas Day bomber as a criminal defendant who deserved a lawyer, instead of a terrorist who could provide us with vital information to help stop new attacks."

However, John Brennan, the Obama assistant interviewed Sunday on the NBC program "Meet the Press," said none of the GOP leaders in Congress he called on Christmas night - including McConnell and House Minority Leader John Boehner - raised those issues then.

"I'm tiring of politicians using national security issues such as terrorism as a political football," Brennan said, adding: "They're unknowing of the facts and they're making charges and allegations that are not anchored inreality."

Man, is that ever the pot calling the kettle black.  Oh lookie, lookie, the terrorist is talking again after five weeks of us giving him silence giving the terrorist group to destroy evidence and move on....see we know what we're doing....GIVE ME A FREAKING BREAK:shock::X.

You know what people, we are tired of this WH and administration not knowing what they are supposed to do and not doing the right thing.  We are really tired of them not doing everything they can to keep America safe, it's always PARTY FIRST for them.  Gotta keep the money changers happy like Socialist George Soros and Billy Bomber Ayers.  He said today that he is working on a PEACE ON EARTH movement.  I wonder what he's going to blow up next??  We have a White House of radical political activists.  They all need to go.:cool:

Has something changed to make his statement "fundamentally TRANSFORMING AMERICA" agenda outdated???  Because I haven't seen anything that tells me otherwise, if anything, he has escalated the plan to FUNDAMENTALLY TRANSFORM AMERICA by NATIONALIZING HEALTH CARE, AUTO INDUSTRY AND BANKS, CRAP AND TRADE jobs killer bills, and AMNESTY....A.K.A. REDISTRIBUTE THE WEALTH.

Interesting in his Inaugural speech, he talked about those trying to silence dissenters.  I think he needs to go back and review some of his own rhetoric before moving forward. What you see on this video could very well be the reason why nobody trusts our Prez and his cronies.

What is getting to be old hat however, is the "needing to fix the past eight years" blather.  We had one of the most robust economies in history during President Bush's first term despite of 9-11 and well into his second term until we got ourselves saddled with a rabid left spendoholic Congress and President Bush had thrown away his VETO pen by then.  We were doing just fine until they showed up on the scene and check us out three years into their POWER TOWER.  They are and have been a monumental failure.  That's what needs to be fixed.:cool:

LOL with the leadership republicans offer Obama looks like a scholar so it doesnt say much for republicans then does it.  Oh and why they were in power we did get screwed....

Ok, it's obvious I haven't  explained this right or you're unwilling to set your anger and politics aside, Luc...I'm not talking about party "stuff" right now.  Let me try this a different way...Barrack Obama is your boss.  His business is struggling and his staff (taking no responsibility for their contributions to this predicament)...have identified you and a few of your co-workers as the primary reason for his business floundering.

Now see, tempting though it is, your boss knows he can't just fire that many employees and still run a business...but he needs to get things back on track soon or risk losing everything.  After much thought, he's decided to address these issues head-on at their big meeting today...everyone will be there so it's a great opportunity to start afresh.

Everyone is seated and all eyes are on the boss...and he proceeds to rip you and the other trouble makers a new one - in front of everyone!  It doesn't matter if what Barrack Obama has said is true or not...you didn't see this coming and it was done for all to see .  Do you walk away feeling bad about how you behaved as an employee so you're gonna try harder...or...do you walk away feeling bad about how you were just treated so he's gonna pay for treating you that way?  Did the problem get fixed...or did he make it worse?
Have you worked for a large company in the last 20 years?  That is exactly how they work the only difference is they dont pay you they either take away you health benefits or lay you off!!!!!  I havent seen any companies accept fault for their errors they blame everyone else and then screw the employee to line their pockets and earn pennies for the share holders.   Just like politicis.

First off, yes to working (and managing) for a few large companies during the last 20 years...that's how I learned the difference between the right and wrong way to lead and manage.  You're correct, Luc...politics are always in the mix but that doesn't have to mandate a person's leadership and management style.  If your answer to my question was that you would have walked aways angry in how badly you were treated...then your leader is doing it wrong. That's my point, Luc...a good leader doesn't do it that way!  I don't think John McCain would have been a good leader for our country...but having observed BHO in action this last year - I know he's not a good leader and that tells me - we're screwed!  :?

I agree and the only difference between this and a large company is we can vote them out every four years.  The Presidents problem is he thinks he can fix something that is broken yes but it doesnt want to be fixed.  They love the trillions being tossed around like candy and would rather remain corrupted and screwing the average person or employee for that matter. ;)

But he could have changed it.  He could have vetoed the spending bill that had over 8,000 earmarks in it.  He could have changed it by being bi-partisan.  He could have changed it by putting the health care bill negotiations on c-span.  He could have changed it by keeping his campaign promises (earmarks, lobbyist, transparency, bi-partisanship, etc.).  Yes, he could have made a difference and changed it all - unfortunately either he didn't want to and his campaign promises was just a bunch of bs, he is afraid to change it, because those he surrounds himself with might not like him or he is too inexperienced to know how.

Yes, he could have changed it and became the "people's President", but unfortunately the only thing he has changed is how people feel about him and he has let down those that believed him and voted for him.

He is still a politician so no matter what we are offered and what change he said was coming the only thing we did have and always will is HOPE.  We all know better than to think a politician is going to change anything its naive, but we sure had hope that it would.

You have trouble posting a coherent thought...so what makes you think you've got your finger on the pulse of what I posted?  Now, if you'd like to ask a question of clarification or give your opinion...that's great - but don't presume to speak for me.  Either you've never successfully run a department/business with multiple employees...or...you are as dumb as you portray yourself to be on here! :dude:

I'd never pretend to understand  what's rattling about in your little head...but throwing  a Mary Kay party does not make you a management expert, dear....perhaps that's why the President didn't phone you for advice.
The Prez should start calling 911 for help on the economy to get Americans jobs, because he has NO clue what so ever!

His advisory team is the worst I have ever seen next to Carter!

At least Mary Kay knows how to generate jobs!

from what I saw, they gave as good as they got

Now see, that's the thing azsu...I wasn't defending them.  My point, in the original post...was take the politics out to show the lack of leadership I was referring to.  Sure it cuts both ways but when it comes to the leader of a business (or in our case the leader of our country)...he did not demonstrate the skills needed to turn this thing around.  If they walked away pissed at him for what he said (versus feeling like they wanted to be part of the solution instead of part of the problem)...then he failed!   Fair or not...for the good of all - the leader needs to forget his bruised ego and be the bigger person!  JMHO

RELATED TOPICS Washington (CNN) -- President Obama tore into the Republican opposition on Capitol Hill Wednesday, blaming the GOP for what he called politically motivated opposition on virtually every issue.

Democrats have been willing to incorporate Republican ideas on health care and other issues, he said, but Republicans have not been willing to do the same.

Addressing a gathering of Senate Democrats, Obama promised to "call (Republicans) out when (Democrats) extend a hand and get a fist in return."

Several Democrats facing tough election fights this November were given time to ask the president questions on high-profile issues such as trade and deficit reduction. Much of the president's time, however, was used to lash out at GOP tactics.

Senate Republicans, he said, have tried to employ the filibuster more over the past year than in all of the 1950s and 1960s combined. The GOP's strategy has been "20 years of obstruction packed into one," he said.

"If you want to govern, you can't just say no," he argued. "It can't be about just scoring points." The filibuster, he added, only works as intended if there is a "genuine spirit of compromise."

The president's tough rhetoric was part of a more aggressive -- and frequently populist -- White House strategy in the wake of the Democrats' recent upset loss in the Massachusetts Senate race. GOP Sen.-elect Scott Brown's victory stripped Democrats of their 60-seat Senate supermajority and raised fears among many congressional Democrats about a potential GOP landslide in the upcoming midterm elections.

The Democratic answer to the Massachusetts Senate race should not be "to do nothing" in Congress, he said. Nervous constituents want to see legislative progress, he asserted.

"We should do more, and we should do so without delay," he said.

In recent days -- during a meeting with House Republicans in Maryland and in town hall forums in Florida and New Hampshire -- Obama has repeatedly offered to work with GOP leaders. At the same time, he has been ratcheting up his own partisan rhetoric.

"By extending an olive branch to Republicans, the president appears to be attempting to appeal to independent voters who have flocked to the GOP over the past several months," CNN Deputy Political Director Paul Steinhauser said.

"But the president also needs to rally a deflated and angry Democratic base, which accounts in part for his tougher attacks against GOP leaders."

Obama cited several examples of what he said was GOP legislative maneuvering motivated purely by political considerations. Among other things, he raised the recent example of seven GOP senators who backed a bill establishing a bipartisan deficit reduction commission, but then turned against it when the proposal came to a vote.

He also noted that a large number of bills have been subjected to Republican-led filibusters, only to receive 85 or 90 votes once the filibuster is broken and the legislation is allowed to move to a final vote.

I'm "not open to switches" solely "because it's good short-term politics," he said. I won't tolerate an "if you lose, I win" mentality.

Obama urged Senate Democrats to stop listening to what he called politically oriented cable television shows on networks such as Fox News, CNN and MSNBC, and instead get out of the Washington "echo chamber."

Most people "don't care about majorities and minorities and process," he said. They just want to know if their elected representatives are "delivering for me."

The president warned fellow Democrats that the public is often misinformed on key issues such as budget deficits. Many constituents will cite foreign aid or legislative earmarks when discussing ways to reduce spending, he said, when in reality those items constitute a minuscule share of federal spending.

Balancing the budget while refusing to raise taxes and exempting entitlement programs such as Social Security and Medicare would require 60 percent cuts in virtually every other program, and "that's just not going to happen," he said.

Noting that Bill Clinton left office with budget surpluses, Obama asserted that Democrats "should have credibility" on the deficit issue. But the party is "still haunted" by debates from the 1960s and '70s when the party was stuck with the "tax and spend" label, he said.

So the party of NO wants to know why nothing has happened in a year.  If you hadnt said NO to everything and actually stepped forward to work and not scream and cry and send your uneducated minions to disrupt everything maybe something could have been done.

The more you hear the more twisted it gets and its gonna be a nasty slap in the conservative face since they are his biggest supporters.  Notice they are silent cause you know they supported it and hoped to get some dirt on the senator and now the question is how many others have already been teapped.  Bet everyone is checking their lines.....

Well luci, I know you and I don't agree on much and that's perfectly fine with me.  But I have to say this is probably one of the saddest comments you have made to date.  You should be just as outraged about ACORN as everyone else.  That isn't a left or right thing, that is a very corrupt and destructive group that has grown to such a grand scale we may never know how bad it really is, especially with the politicians trying to cover up for them.  They are abusing our taxpayers funding, yours and mine and corrupting our elections.  Not left or right.  So, it's folks like you who are willing to turn the other way because it supports your views.  When you do that, then you become part of the cover up and corruption.

Now having said that, I don't know what really took place, I highly doubt you do either.  But if he crossed the line, that isn't a slap in my face whatsoever, I say prosecute.  He's a smart guy, he knows right from wrong and if he broke some laws then he needs to be held accountable.  But why the glee?  I don't get that about you guys. How about we wait and find out what really took place, then judge him. Just a thought.:cool:

If you are attempting to drag me into some sort of discussion at your typical low level of comprehension you are mistaken.  There is no glee (no haha or smileys)and I made a comment now and in the past about ACORN.  So sad....

Nope, not trying to "drag" you into anything luci.  Just reminding you and anyone else who is reading our posts that ACORN is a very bad group that started out with great intentions.  They became corrupt so much so that one of the founders embezzled a million dollars and they never bothered to press charges.:X:cool:
